Our Process

Constructing your new home will be exciting but also may be a little daunting if you are new to the process. Understanding the steps involved can make it a lot easier, so we have prepared a guide to take you through the process from planning through to moving into your new home.

Organise for Matt to price your existing plans

1. Meet With Matt On-Site

The first step in making your new home a reality is seeing your house plans on paper. This involves working with us to develop detailed home designs, elevations, plans and specifications. Once you are happy with the design, all these details are incorporated into a building contract, along with timeframes and costs of building your ideal homes.

Before signing the contract, it is important to double check all the details in the plans and make sure they suit your budget and your needs, as well as any State or local building regulations and the estates’ building covenants.

2. Develop Design To Budget

Before starting work, we will apply to the relevant local authority for building and other approvals. We will also check with the estate developer where applicable to ensure the plans meet all the necessary requirements. You may need to assist with this process or authorise us to apply on your behalf.

It is important to allow plenty of time for this step, especially in new areas where the authorising bodies will have lots of applications to review and your plans need to be approved by the estates’ developer.

3. Organise Approvals

We will conduct a pre start meeting with you to allow you the final opportunity to make important decisions regarding the types and colours of your fittings and materials. At this time you should ensure you are comfortable with the details and decisions prior to work commencing.

4. Start Construction

The construction phase will see your dream come to life. It is important to keep in regular contact with us and raise any questions or concerns immediately.

5 . Handover / Delivery of New Home

Once the building is complete, the building surveyor or inspector will make a final assessment. You will also be invited to conduct your own inspection to satisfy yourself that your home is as you specified. If there is anything that you are not satisfied with, now is the time to let us know prior to signing the final documentation.

6. Warranties and Guarantee

Congratulations! Your new home is now complete. At handover, you will receive the keys to your house and a copy of all relevant warranties and certificates.

It is now time to settle in and enjoy your new home
